SIBU: “Sudahlah jatuh ditimpa tangga”.

Dr. Siti Raudzah strictly suggested that people with depression disorder should take their medication on time with accurate prescription from the expert, and not carelessly relied on others’ groundless opinions.

She hopes that this session will help to informed students especially one who is currently suffered from depression because it was the only way for the university to be able to help and guide them.

“Normally, students would find their way to me after my talk session, and I’m so happy for their responsive act towards this health issue that we offered,” she said optimistically knowing that the same thing would happen again after the talk session.

KUALA LUMPUR: As COVID-19 continues, the community are forced to survive  under the circumstances of quarantine.

It is prominent that in this state of need, more people are dependent towards  the delivery service in Malaysia. Balancing between work and daily life, delivery  service such as Food Panda and Grab Food are one of the many gems of food delivery  industry in Malaysia.

In the recent implementation of the new Movement Control Order (MCO) in  the country, there is a new Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for the delivery  service industry in Malaysia.

Working hours for Food Panda starts from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Grab Food  will be available starting from 7 a.m. in certain delivery area and will stop operating  at approximately 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. everyday.

According to the Chief Minister of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah,  the current MCO that will end on February 4, will not be further extended as it left a  huge impact on the economy.

“The implementation of MCO is to ensure the safety of the community and to  lower the rate of COVID-19 patients in Malaysia. After the MCO ended, the economy  industry will continue to proceed with limitation but the crossing of borders will still  be in restriction,” he said in his statement today.

Thus, even after the MCO ended, most people will still operating for the food  delivery service as it is easier for them to go on their daily lives while working. This  can be a rising chance for the industry to grow in Malaysia despite having MCO  implemented.

KUCHING: In light of this new norm, most people are in their homes and taking care  of themselves as the Movement Control Order (MCO) took place.

Necessity purchase are to be made online or done with the regulations of  Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for every grocery shop, shopping mall or regular  shops. However, this does not stop people from obtaining their needs.

One of the ways for them to secure their needs is through online shopping.  Thus, we can see a pattern in buying online and the big question is to know whether  this can be an addiction or an appeasement for those who cannot go out to buy their  needs.

Nabila Amira Munirah Binti Ahmad Ashry, 20, a frequent online shopper,  reveals that she would usually buy her needs in Shopee, which includes dry food and  snacks. “This is because shopping online is better for me, the items are listed and you  can compare the prices before buying. However, this does make me buy other items  that are unnecessary.” She responded.

She added that her initial purpose is to buy an item and she would end up  buying more than what she intended. This is because there are lots of choices that she can choose from and it is cheaper than buying in a walk in shop.

Another frequent online shopper, Mardhiah Nabilah Binti Kamaluddin, 19,  reveals that she would usually buy electronics online. As for necessities such as food,  she would prefer to buy it in a walk in shop, where she can see the packages and  choose on it the spot.

“I shop online at least one time a week. However, it is more to buying  accessories and stuff that are not necessarily important. I think online shopping has  become a hobby for me. Opening packages has become one of my joy these days,  thus I would always have things that I want to buy.” She added.

We can see that online shopping has its perks. It makes our life easier and we  do not have to go out to buy our needs. This is a game changer in the norm that we  live in now.
